Landlord 411 is committed to outcome-based housing solutions and innovations to elevate and advance housing stability for our target population of small business independent landlords and their renters. This is achieved through landlord and tenant education, research, responsible policy and legislation that is fair and beneficial for all concerned.

This group is not-for-profit.

Members consist of do-it-yourself (diy) landlords, a accidental landlords, small portfolio property investors, and Property Managers. Their experience ranges from beginner to expert. Our Landlord Academy provides knowledge for even the most experienced individuals.

Small business and independent Landlords provide 53% of all rental housing nationally, most of which is low-income and affordable housing. The mission of Landlord411 is to improve skills for the do-it-yourself landlord and enhance the customer service experience for their tenant.

Landlords provide a valuable service to community and are a necessary provider of housing service. The mission of Landlord411 is to improve skills for the do-it-yourself landlord and enhance the customer service experience for their tenant.

This proactive effort helps mitigate landlord/tenant disputes. Landlords avoid pitfalls and costly mistakes while the tenant enjoys improved housing stability and the derived health and social benefits for their family and community.

This is achieved in the following ways:
• Free Monthly educational workshops, either in person our through our Landlord Academy
Best practices as a landlord
Education of tenant/landlord law and policy
Sharing of resources and technology to assist with being better landlords
Community outreach to tenant advocacy groups as a resource
Advocacy to support responsible policy and legislation

Our members value:
 • Fairness between the landlord and the tenant
 • Providing rental housing free from any life, health and safety hazards.

Our Vision is to grow nationally as a non-profit association to become a collective voice to advocate and advance interests for private, individual and small portfolio rental housing providers. The intent is to work in partnership with government to demystify and simplify the astounding variations in tenant landlord law across jurisdictions at the state, county, and incorporated city level. We are launching in Maryland, then the mid-Atlantic, then nationally. We encourage members to join in all states to serve as a collective voice and gateway for our future expansion.
